Our Enrollment Process
We aim to make the registration process as smooth and straightforward as possible for families. Here's how to join our nursery community:
1. Inquire & Visit
Contact us to schedule a tour of our facilities. This visit allows you to meet our team, see our environment, and ask any questions.
2. Complete Registration
Fill out our registration form with your child's details, medical information, and your childcare requirements and preferences.
3. Secure Your Place
Pay a registration fee to secure your child's place. We'll confirm availability and proposed start date in writing.
4. Settling-In Sessions
We'll arrange settling-in sessions for your child before their official start date to help them adjust to their new environment.
Age Groups & Available Spaces
At Mulberry Bush Mersea Day Nursery, we provide care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years old. Our facilities are organized into different rooms based on age and developmental stage:
Babies (3-18 months)
Toddlers (18-36 months)
Preschool (3-5 years)
Each room has a limited number of spaces to ensure we maintain high standards of care and appropriate staff-to-child ratios. We recommend registering your interest as early as possible, especially for our popular baby room.
Fee Structure & Funding Options
We offer competitive fees with options for full-time and part-time care. Our fees include all meals, snacks, and regular activities. Fee structure is as follows:
Daily Rates (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Babies (3-18 months): £60 per day
- Toddlers (18-36 months): £57 per day
- Preschool (3-5 years): £55 per day
Half-Day Rates (Morning or Afternoon Session)
- Babies (3-18 months): £35 per session
- Toddlers (18-36 months): £33 per session
- Preschool (3-5 years): £30 per session
Funding & Discounts
- We accept all major childcare vouchers
- 15 & 30 hours funded places for eligible 3-4 year olds
- Sibling discount of 10% for second child
Current Availabilities
Our availability changes regularly as children join or move between rooms. Please contact us directly for the most up-to-date information on available spaces. We maintain a waiting list for periods when we are fully booked.
Priority is given to:
- Siblings of children already attending the nursery
- Children requiring full-time places
- Families on our waiting list (first come, first served basis)
